A ghost like Casper
One day the Thomson family wanted to move into an old house in Hunterville castle. Mary the little daughter was really exited about that. Every day they went to the house and they made a plan for the things that should be set within the house.
In the next weeks they moved their things into the old house.
Then the day came when they moved in.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomson and their children were really happy.
The old house was so beautiful. There was a lot of space and so every child had its own room.
After that they had a party in their new home. All the friends of the family came and they had fun.
But suddenly there was a man. He looked very dark and was very old.
No one knew where the man came from.
Mr. Thomson went to the man and asked him about his business at the party.
He hadn’t been invited, Mr. Thomson said.
„Hello“, the man said, „I’m the former owner of this house. I wanted to warn you. In this house there lives a ghost! I have seen it. It is better if you give up this house.“
„Leave“, Mr. Thomson said, „we are happy to live in this house. You are crazy!“
The man turned and went outside.
Then the party went on. At half past eleven the party was over and all the people were gone.
Mr. Thomson and Mrs. Thomson put the children into their beds and then they went sleeping too.
But what was that? At midnight a loud bell of a clock rang. Mrs. Thomson was afraid about that.
Suddenly there was a noise from the floor. Was there a thief? The noise became louder. „Ohh no!!! What is it?“ Mrs. Thomson shouted, „What can we do?“
Then the door came open. Mr. Thomson stood up and shouted: „Get off, you bad man!“ „Buhhhh!“ a voice said.
The family was crying. „A ghost ran outside!“ Mrs. Thomson shouted. „Hello, don’t worry. I’m a friend of Casper. My name is Chester!“
„Casper? Who’s that?“ Mrs Thomson asked.
„Ohh mum“, Mary said, “ You didn’t know who Casper is?“
„No“, Mary’s mum said.
„It is a very nice ghost from television. We saw the video „Casper“, you know?“
„Ohh yes“, Mrs Thomson said, „This was a really nice video. And Casper was very nice. But where were you from Chester?“
„I have lived on the attic of this house for over 30 years“, Chester said. „It is really nice in this house and I didn’t want to go.“
Mr. and Mrs. Thomson went into the kitchen and talked a lot. Then Mr and Mrs. Thomson came back. Mrs. Thomson said: „It is okay Chester. You can still live here. But don’t frighten us, won’t you? Okay?“
„Ohh yees!“ Chester said, “ You are the nicest family which has ever lived here. The other families went away from here!“
