Am Montagabend fand in der Schulbibliothek eine Informationsveranstaltung für Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klasse Neun und ihre Eltern statt. Im Rahmen unseres Berufsvorbereitungsprogramms können einige Schüler an der Maßnahme, die ein wenig mit einem Praktikum zu vergleichen ist, teilnehmen. Dieses ist das Haus der Berufsvorbereitung. Durchgeführt wird es von der LEWA Attendorn und Herr Schmidt stellte als Vertreter der LEWA den Schülern und Eltern das Programm vor. Wer daran teilnimmt, investiert wöchentlich zwei Nachmittage und auch einige Wochen in den Schulferien. Insgesamt sind das etwa 550 Stunden, welche zu investieren sind. Belohnt wird die Mühe mit einer verbesserten Aussicht auf eine Lehrstelle. Am Ende der Informationsversammlung gab es noch eine Diskussionsrunde, bei welcher Schüler und Eltern auch Fragen stellen konnten.
On Monday evening there was an orientation meeting for students of Year Nine, their parents and teachers at the school library. As part of our vocational preparations programme a select number of students can take part in a kind of work placement. The programme is calles „House of vocational preparation„. It is run by LEWA Attendorn and Mr Schmidt, representative of LEWA, outlined the programme to students and parents. Taking part means spending two afternoons a week at LEWA and a number of weeks during school breaks. All in all that’s about 550 hours have to put in. As a reward for this effort students can hope to have better chances to get an apprenticeship. At the end of the meeting there was an open discussion round where students and parents could also ask questions.
