Erdkunde muss nicht nur mit Landkarten und Globen zu tun haben oder mit Ländern und Bevölkerung, mit Flüssen, Ozeanen und Meeren. Sie kann auch fruchtig sein. Man mag sich wundern, wie das möglich ist. Die Klasse 6.2 beschloss, gemeinsam mit ihrem Erdkundelehrer, Herrn Hötte, Früchte aus aller Welt zu testen. Wo beginnt man mit den Nachforschungen besser als in einer Obst- und Gemüsehandlung. Dafür geht man dann zum Laden von Wurms und das war am Dienstag. In der Obst- und Gemüsehandlung erhielten sie viele Informationen über Früchte, ihr Aussehen, Preise und Herkunftsländer. Außerdem konnten sie eine Vielzahl von Früchten verkosten. Geschmack, Größe und Form und weitere Informationen wurden in Steckbriefen gesammelt. Zum Abschied gab es für alle Schüler noch ein Exemplar der bekanntesten und beliebtesten Südfrucht, eine Banane.

Form 6.2 and their Geography teacher Mr Hötte decided to give fruits from all over the world a try. Where better to start your enquiry than at a grocery. The grocery to go is Wurm’s and there they went on Tuesday. At the grocery they got lots of information about fruits, their looks, cost and countries of origin. What’s more they could also get a taste of a broad variety of different fruits. Taste, size and shape and more were noted on worksheets. As a farewell present all students were given a banana each, the best known and most favourite of all tropical fruits.
