Am Freitag fand an der KAS der jährliche Vorlesewettbewerb für die Klasse Fünf und Sechs statt. Während der vorangegangen Wochen hatte jede Klasse geübt und ihre Sieger bestimmt. Alle Schüler übten, aus einem Buch eigener Wahl vorzulesen vor einem Publikum von Mitschülerinnen und -schülern. Sie bereiteten auch eine kurze Vorstellung der Geschichte vor, so dass die Zuhörer wissen, was sie hören. Beim Vorlesewettbewerb gab es eine vierköpfige Jury, Herr Olberts, unser ehemaliger Schulleiter, Herr Grebe, ein ehemaliger Lehrer und Frau Zimmermann, welche eine örtliche Buchhandlung führt, und Frau Keßler, ihre Mitarbeiterin. Die Klassen Fünf begannen und ihr Gewinner ist Deniz Gülmen aus der 5.2. Danach waren die Sechser an der Reihe. Sie nahmen am offiziellen Wettbewerb des Börsenvereins des Deutschen Buchhandels teil. Gewinner in der Sechs ist Nicolai Stock aus der 6.2 und er wird im Februar 2012 in der nächsten Runde auf Burg Bilstein im Wettbewerb antreten. Alle Sieger erhielten als Preis ein Buch. On Friday KAS had its annual reading competition for Years Five and Six. During the previous weeks each form had trained and found its winner. Each student practised reading from a book of his or her choice in front of an audience of fellow students. They also prepared a short introduction to the story so that listeners know what they are listening to. At the reading competition there was a jury of four, Mr Olberts our former headmaster, Mr Grebe, a former teacher and Mrs Zimmermann who owns a local bookshop and Mrs Keßler who works at the bookshop. Year Five read first and its winner is Deniz Gülmen of Form 5.2. Then it was Year Six’s turn. They take part in the official reading competition of the German booksellers association. The winner of Year six is Nicolai Stock of Form 6.2 and he will compete at the next level of the reading competition which takes place at Bilstein Castle in February of 2012. Each winner was awarded a book. Congratulation to all winners.
