Das Wendener Schulgebäude ist groß und es gibt viele Leute, die dort zumindest einen halben Tag an fünf Tagen in der Woche verbringen. Mehr als 1000 Schülerinnen und Schüler und mehr als 70 Lehrer kommen jeden Morgen und jeden nach Mittag. Während des Morgens wechseln sie Räume, am Sport in der Sporthalle und ging hinaus um die Pausen auf dem Schulhof zu verbringen. Bei all diesen Wechseln innerhalb des Gebäudes, von Raum zu Raum oder von einem Teil des Gebäudes in ein anderes und von drinnen nach draußen können Dinge verloren gehen. Dazu kommen noch viele Besucher in das Gebäude, um an den Wochenenden Konzerte in der Aula zu besuchen oder Sportveranstaltungen in der Sporthalle. Mehrmals in der Woche werden Sachen verloren. Was verloren wird, wird oft kurz darauf wieder gefunden. Viele Verlustsachen werden nicht einmal vermisst von ihren Besitzern. Unsere Hausmeister sammeln diese Sachen auf einem Kleiderständer in einem Treppenhaus. Man kann dort hingehen um das, was man verloren hat, wieder zu finden. Wertvolle Sachen, sowie Mobiltelefone, Schmuck und Geldbörsen werden im Büro des Hausmeisters aufbewahrt bis sie entweder von ihren Besitzern wieder gefunden wurden oder zum Fundbüro wandern.
The Wenden school complex is big and there are lots of people who spend at least half a day there five days a week. More than 1000 students and more than 70 teachers come every morning and leave after noon. During the morning they change rooms, have PE in the sports hall and go outside to spend the breaks on the schoolyard. All of this moving around within the building, from room to room or from one part of the building to another part and from the inside and outside means things can be lost. Besides that lots of visitors come to the school building at the weekends when there are concerts in the assembly or sports events in the sports hall. Several times a week things get lost. Often times what’s lost gets found shortly after. But many things lost are not even missed by the owners. Our caretakers collect these on a clothes stand in one of the hallways. You can go there to find what you lost. Valuables such as mobile phones, jewellery and purses are kept in the caretaker’s office until they are either reclaimed or brought to the lost property office.
