Beim Blick in die Ersatzmensa zur heutigen Mittagspause zeigte keines der Probleme, die zur Schließung am Montag führten (siehe [cref 9122]). Es waren allerdings auch nur wenige Schüler anwesend, die ihr Mittagessen einnahmen, und die meisten von ihnen waren jünger. Donnerstag scheint ein Tag, an welchem nur wenige Schüler der Realschule, die den größten Anteil der Schüler stellen, die das Mittagessen nutzen, Nachmittagsunterricht haben. Die Schüler, die heute anwesend waren, machten keinen Unfug mit ihrem Essen und ließen saubere Tische zurück. Vielleicht hat sich mancher schon gefragt, warum es in der Ersatzmensa nur Plastikteller und -bestecke gibt, nicht Porzellan und Edelstahl. Dafür gibt es einen einfachen Grund. Es ist billiger für die Plastiksachen zu bezahlen und sie wegzuwerfen als jemanden zu bezahlen, der das Geschirr wäscht. Gleichs gilt für das Sauberhalten der Tische und Einsammeln von Tellern und Bestecken aus dem ganzen Raum. Es ist einfach zu teuer. Natürlich könnten wir die Angestellten der Großküche bitten, das alles zu tun. Dann aber würdet ihr die Mahlzeiten nicht für 2,50 € oder weniger erhalten. Die Kosten für alle diese Zusatzarbeiten würden zu den Gesatkosten der Menüs hinzukommen. Das wollt ihr sicher nicht. Jetzt solltet ihr verstehen, warum es wichtig ist, dass jeder seinen Teil dazu beiträgt, dass alles einfach und damit billlig bleibt.
A look at our ersatz canteen at today’s lunchbreak showed none of the problems which lead to Monday’s closure (see [cref 9122]). However there were only few students who had their lunch and most of them were very younger. Thursday seems to be a day when only few students of Realschule who make up most of the students who have their lunch here have classes in the afternoon. Those students present today didn’t mess around with their food and left clean tables. Perhaps you wonder why there are ony plastic plates and cutlery at the ersatz canteen, not china and steel cutlery. There is a simple reason. Paying for that plastic stuff and throwing it away is cheaper than paying someone to wash the dishes. Same with keeping tables clean and the room and collecting the plates and cuttlery form all over the room. It simply is to expensive. We could ask the caterer’s employees to do all this. But then you wouldn’t get the meals for 2,50 € or less. Costs for all the extra work would add up to the total of meals. You wouldn’t want this. So now you understand why it is important to do your part in keeping it simple and therefore cheap.
