Jedermann muss üben, nicht nur Schülerinnen und Schüler, sondern auch Feuerwehrleute. Letzten Samstag hielten die freiwillige Feuerwehr Wenden und das Rote Kreuz ihre Jahresabschlussübung ab und das an unserer Schule. Eine Reihe Schüler, sowohl von unserer Schule wie auch der Realschule Wenden nahmen an der Übung teil. Sie spielten die Rolle von Opfern in einer Rettungsübung der Feuerwehrleute. Unser Schulleiter, Herr Winkelmann, nahm an der Übung nicht teil, war aber als Zuschauer vor Ort. Sebastian Clemens, ein ehemaliger Schüler unserer Schule, nahm an der Übung teil. Everyone has to practice, not only students but also firemen. Last Saturday the Wenden volunteer firefighters and local Red Cross had their big end of year exercise and they had it at our school. A number of students from our school and Realschule Wenden took part in the exercise. They acted as casualties in the evacuation training of the firefighters. Our head, Mr Winkelmann, didn’t take part in the exercise but he was present at the scene as an onlooker. Sebastian Clemens a former student of our school participated in the exercise.
