Heute waren die Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klasse 5.2 in der Bibliothek, um ihre ersten Bücher mit ihrem neuen Bibliotheksausweis zu entleihen. Sie hatten die Bibliothekskarten am Tag zuvor erhalten, nachdem sie ihre Einführung in die Bibliothek erhalten hatten. Frau Schäfer, eine der Bibliothekarinnen der KAS, führte sie durch die Regalreihen und zeigte ihnen, wo sie was finden können. Sie redete auch über die Regeln in der Bibliothek (siehe auch [cref 37], die Leihzeiten und Verlängerungen. Am heutigen Morgen hatten die Schülerinnen und Schüler reichlich Zeit, durch die Bücher zu stöbern und ein oder zwei Bücher zu finden, die ihnen gefielen. Bevor es dann in die Klasse zurückging, legten sie ihren Bibliotheksausweis vor und entliehen am Schalter die Bücher, welche sie sich ausgesucht hatten.
Today students of Form 5.2 went to the library to check out their first books with their new library cards. They had received these library cards the day before after they had got their introduction to the library. Mrs Schäfer, one of the librarians of KAS, led them through the rows of bookshelves to show them what to find where. She also talked about the rules of the library, loan periods and renewals. This morning students got ample time to browse the books and find one or two which they liked. Before returning to their classroom they presented their library card and checked out the books they had chosen at the counter.
