Vielleicht wusstest du nicht, dass es einen Grund gibt, warum der Deutsche Kinderhospizverein e.V. ein Büro in Olpe hat. Olpe ist die Stadt, wo das erste Kinderhospiz Deutschlands 1998 gegründet wurde. Ein Hospiz ist eine Ort für todkranke Menschen. Das Kinderhospiz Balthasar in Olpe ist ein Ort für Kinder, die sehr krank sind und wohl sterben werden. Am 10. Februar gibt es eine Veranstaltung in der Stadthalle Olpe, bei der Leute ihre Unterstützung für die Arbeit des Deutschen Kinderhospizverein e.V. zeigen und für die Familien mit todkranken Kindern. Ihr könnt euch beteiligen und eure Solidarität zeigen, indem ihr eine Postkarte gestaltet, die ihr entweder an Deutscher Kinderhospizverein e.V., Bruchstraße 10, 57462 Olpe schickt oder im Schulbüro abgebt (dann braucht ihr keine Briefmarke!). Bitte gebt eure Postkarten im Schulbüro bis Montag, 8. Februar ab. Herr Winkelmann wird sie dann mit nach Olpe nehmen, wo sie die Stadthalle schmücken werden.
Perhaps you didn’t know that there is a reason why Deutscher Kinderkospizverein e.V. has an office in Olpe. Olpe is the city where the first German hospice for children was founded in 1998. A hospice is a place for terminally ill people. The children’s hospice Balthasar at Olpe is a place for children who are very ill and will most likely die. On February 10 there is an event at Stadthalle Olpe where people can show their support for the work of Deutscher Kinderkospizverein e.V. and the families with terminally ill children. You can take part too and show your solidarity by creating a nice postcard that you either send to Deutscher Kinderkospizverein e.V., Bruchstraße 10, 57462 Olpe or give to our school office (then you don’t need any stamp!). Please hand over your postcards at the school office no later than Monday, February 8. Mr Winkelmann will take all cards to Olpe where they will be used to decorate Stadthalle.
