Wir begannen unser Busbegleiter Projekt im Januar 2001 und waren die erste Schule im Kreis Olpe mit Busbegleitern. Das Projekt war ein großer Erfolg für uns, auch weil wir es in Zusammenarbeit mit der Realschule Wenden organisierten. Während der folgenden Jahre kopierten andere Schulen in und um Olpe, von der Grundschule bis zum Gymnasium, unser Projekt. Unser eigenes Projekt erlebte seine Höhen und Tiefen aber seit etwa einem Jahr ist sein Zustand besorgniserregend. Am Anfang wollten viele Schülerinnen und Schüler Busbegleiter werden, doch jetzt sind es nur noch wenige. Busbegleiter werden von den Mitschülern nicht mehr respektiert wie zuvor. Einige Busbegleiter missbrauchten ihre Autorität in der Vergangenheit. Die Ursachen für die gegenwärtigen Probleme des Projektes sind vielfältig. Herr Lässig und Herr Nebel, die das Busbegleiter Projekt für die KAS betreuen, stecken viel Energie hinein. Sie konnten einige Dinge verbessern, haben aber längst nicht ausreichend Zeit, um alle Probleme anzugehen. Momentan haben wir deutlich zu wenig Busbegleiter. Einige Busse fahren ohne Busbegleiter. Ein Kurs für neue Busbegleiter beginnt in Kürze. Wir hoffen, dass es dann besser wird. Sonst wird womöglich unser Projekt das erste, welches im Kreis Olpe zum Scheitern verurteilt ist.
We started our school bus guard project in January 2001 and were the first school to have bus guards in the district of Olpe. The project was a huge success for us also because we started it in cooperation with Realschule Wenden. During the following years others schools in and around Olpe copied our project, from primary schools to grammar schools. Our own project had its ups and downs over the years but for about the one year its state has worrisome. At the beginning lots of students wanted to become a bus guard but now there are only few. Bus guards aren’t respected by fellow students as they were before. A number of bus guards abused their role in the past. The causes for the project’s current problems are multifaceted. Mr Lässig and Mr Nebel who run the bus guard project for KAS put in a lot of effort. They could better some things but don’t have way of enough time to adress all problems. Right now there is severe shortage of bus guards. Some buses are without bus guards. A course for new bus guards is due to begin soon. Let’s hope things get better. Otherwise the first our project might be doomed to the first in the district of Olpe to fail.
