Am Samstag, den 25. August 2007, hatten wir unseren großen Flohmarkt, um die Bibliothek zu unterstützen. Ab 14:30 Uhr kamen die ersten Schülerinnen und Schüler mit ihren Eltern an, um ihre Stände aufzubauen. In den Autos brachten sie viele Spielzeuge, Bücher und andere Dinge mit, um sie am Flohmarkt zu verkaufen. Die Stände wurden am unteren Schulhof aufgebaut. Manche hatten Tapeziertische mitgebracht und Camping Stühle, andere bloß Decken. In der Cafeteria schnitten mittlerweile Freiwillige die von Müttern gespendeten Kuchen auf und kochten Kaffee. Gegen 3 Uhr war der Flohmarkt dann schon belebt. Es gab insgesamt 63 angemeldete Stände. Das Wetter war sonnig und wer unter einem Baum oder im Schatten war, der war glücklich. Zwischendurch hatte jederman Zeit, etwas Kuchen zu essen und einen Kaffee oder eine Limonade zu trinken. Viele Teilnehmer des Flohmarktes hielten es für eine gute Idee, auch nächstes Jahr wieder einen Flohmarkt zu machen. Für die Bibliothek war das Ergebnis toll. Etwa 450 € wurden verdient, um Bücher zu kaufen. Einige Bücher wurden bereits auf dem Flohmarkt von Schülern gekauft.
On Saturday, August 25, 2007 we had our big fleamarket to support the library. From 2.30 p.m. on students arrived with their parents to set up their stalls. In the cars they had brought lots of toys, books and other things to sell at the fleamarket. Stalls were set up at the lower school yard. Some had brought trestle tables and camping chairs, others just used a blanket. In the cafeteria meanwhile volunteers cut cakes, contributed by mothers, and brewed coffee. By 3 p.m. the fleamarket was already busy. There were 63 stalls registered in total. Weather was sunny and those who were under a tree or in the shadow were lucky. In between nearly everyone found time to eat some cake and have a coffee or some lemonade. A lot of those who took part in the fleamarket thought it was a good idea and there should be another fleamarket next year. For the library the results were great. About 450 € were earned to buy books. Some books were already bought at the fleamarket from the students.
